  Born and raised in a Southern Baptist church, and having spent the first 14 years of my married life as a member of large SBC church in Charleston, I was naturally hesitant to visit a small, Presbyterian church in the old historic community of Rockville. Rockville EPC was one of several churches we visited while on our hunt for a new church home. We immediately felt welcomed; the hospitality was unmatched by anywhere else we visited. The pastor is genuine, loving, humble, and passionate about teaching the Word of God. In both Sunday School and in worship, the gospel is taught in it's purity - no "health and wealth" sermons here. We joined the church only five months after visiting. We love and appreciate the support the Elders and congregation give each other and the Senior Pastor. Rockville EPC seems to be a thriving, healthy body of believers due to it's unwavering dedication to teaching the Scriptures, it's warm and genuine fellowship, humility, and service to the communities of Wadmalaw and Johns Islands. It was also important to us that we be a part of a church that participates in "Believer's Baptism." Though they follow in the Presbyterian tradition of infant baptism, once a year the church has a service by the river in which they baptize by immersion - a very important part of our personal beliefs. We feel so blessed to be able to worship and serve at Rockville Evangelical Presbyterian.
